In the middle of a stage plunged into darkness, a white light illuminates a museum base, ordinarily reserved for ancient statues. A masked dancer can be found on it, then alternates between sculptural poses and movements, entering into dialogue with the electronic music played by Franco-Vietnamese DJ DANG, superimposing modern beats on traditional music, helping transport us to the noisy, bustling streets of Ho Chi Minh City.

Inspired by a particular feature of Vietnamese urban life, where women cover their bodies when riding motorbikes to protect themselves from the sun and pollution, and once night has fallen, unveil themselves revealing emancipated bodies, the choreographers and plastic artists Pierre Larauza and Emmanuelle Vincent create a solo imbued with strangeness, with a hypnotic rhythm, mixing dance with visual arts, questioning the notions of sculpted movement and changing female identity in an aesthetic, committed journey.
