Philip Seymour Hoffman, par exemple

Rafael Spregelburd / Transquinquennal
17/10/2017 21/10/2017
  • Duur: 2h15
  • Location : Salle de la Grande Main

Radical, unconventional, contemporary. Placing the spectator at the centre, the trans quinquennial collective excels in questioning the theatre’s here and now. Bernard Breuse, Miguel Decleire and Stéphane Olivier asked Spregelburd to write them an original text. Joined by two actresses, they create a post-dramatic fiction where the roles keep flipping. And what of Philip Seymour Hoffman in all that? Transporting us to a strange construction of parallel and contradictory stories, the play explores the twists and turns of celebrity, class idolatry, the fiction of self, the non-coincidence between the person and their image, the fraud of the personality and of identity. A schizophrenic comedy!
