SONIA CHIAMBRETTO · HUBERT COLAS
23/02/2021 25/02/2021
  • Duur: 2H, in creation
  • Location : Cité Miroir

In this choral work devoted to contemporary Algeria, the writer and poetess Sonia Chiambretto pursues her collection of testimonies and archival documents, which she kneads together into a raw, musical language. More than a portrait, this creation presents as something closer to an overlapping of layers of memory, from which different characters emanate. These are moved by the same breath, the same urgency to talk about their indignation, their revolt and their dreams. The director Hubert Colas offers us this poetic address in a constantly moving showcase of images that are captured on-site and then extracted and reproduced. In any given moment, these summon the concrete facts of history at the centre of the stage.
