Hanokh Levin / Krzysztof Warlikowski / Nowy Teatr
Surrounded by his very talented actors and actresses from Nowy Teatr in Warsaw, Krzysztof Warlikowski – one of the masters of the European stage – returns to Hanokh Levin. His first meeting with the author resulting, in 2003, in the creation of the show Kroum, still in the repertoire. On s’en va, which is even more disillusioned, makes use of the text Sur les valises, sub-titled “comedy in eight burials”. The community depicted is persuaded that it is impossible for him to continue living there and like that. The characters have strong desires elsewhere, trapped, they are, their reality undermined by disappointment. The only destination they will reach is death, on a journey that will include nothing heroic. In this universe that he knows well, Warlikowski injects new, recently proven, emotions and brings out the disillusioned smile of Levin.
