Hakim Bouacha
11/10/2022 15/10/2022
  • Duur: +/- 1h15, spectacle en création
  • Location : Salle de l’Œil vert

Tonight, he wants to talk to you about love. The love we judge, the love we censor. He wants to talk to us about fighting, sexuality, gender, inequality, shame, exclusion, norms, himself… Because he has had enough of norms! Because in the Middle East, in the Maghreb region, in Europe, many members of the LGBTQ+ community are victims of physical or psychological attacks. Because he could have been one of them if his grandparents had not decided to leave Kabylia at the end of the 1950s. He has always wondered how people like him were able to live in oppressive nations. Live? To this end, he travelled to Morocco and Tunisia, where he collected testimonials. In return, he had to be honest with himself and with the people who shared their lives and their struggles with him. He had to do the same. He promised to write. To write until the end. About his childhood, about his relationships with men. He didn’t want to lash out, but to simply take accountability. His name is Hakim Bouacha and he comes from Roubaix. He never dreamed of sharing part of his life on-stage. It happened in spite of himself, as a testimonial. Because he would just like to talk about love. Just love.
