Martin has been sentenced to death. He receive his final visit at the prison from Sally, his sister. They have one hour; his last hour. This brother and sister love each other and once pretended to be lovers. Their memories are no longer the same. Was the game real? What was their father jealous of? Life separated them a long time ago. Sally got married and had a child; Martin committed himself to life on the streets and everything that came with it. He wanted to become the boss, a criminal; now, he is sentenced to death. Together, they will go back in time and try to tempt fate and understand the mystery that led them to leave their childhood behind and to ruin. In his incredible staging, Cameroonian François Ebouele uses video to show Martin and Sally’s past, a buried, unspeakable past… almost. But, ultimately, a past that cannot be escaped. An opera singer conveys what is not said in the family unit, which, when it fails in its duty of protection, causes irreparable damage. Through blunt, violent writing with a striking sense of humanity, Martin and Sally bear their souls.
