Alessandro Serra brings us a masterful retelling of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. This iconic piece is translated into Sard and is fused with the warlike traditions and macabre festivities that are still practised in the heart of Sardinia. The all-male cast – as it would have been in the Elizabethan era – finds the perfect balance between power, feral anger, humour and poetic lightness.
