Casablanca
Scapino Ballet Rotterdam
9/12/2022
- Duur: 1h45
- Location : Theater aan het Vrijthof, Maastricht
Ed Wubbe is inspired by the story of the film Casablanca, a 1942 Hollywood classic with Ingrid Bergman and Humphrey Bogart, to create a dance recital about passion, freedom and the desire for a better world. The choreographer mixes dance styles, adds circus and acrobatics and sets it all to Moroccan Berber music and themes by Max Steiner. Romanticism hides a fading world, in which reality and fantasy come together and blur the boundaries between good and evil.
