Danza Permanente
DD DORVILLIER ET ZEENA PARKINS
DD Dorvillier has been developing her artistic work in New York since 1989, before moving to France in 2010. In this ambitious work, the choreographer, in collaboration with the composer Zeena Parkins, transposes music for a string quartet by Ludwig Van Beethoven, the ’Opus 132 in A minor, into dance. Each of the four dancers takes on the line of an instrument, becoming both instrument and dancer, producing meaning, emotions and a state of thought. The bodies listen to each other and the dancers embody the musical structure and dynamic of the opus in time and space.
