DANCE

In Christian tradition, the dragon has long symbolized the Apocalypse. Yet, in most regions of the world, the dragon was a symbol of authority and wisdom, capable of giving humanity the courage to overcome upheavals. But today? What would our dragon look like for centuries to come? With dancers born in the year 2000 – the year of the dragon – Korean choreographer Eun-Me Ahn draws from the vitality of Asia’s vernacular choreographic cultures to generate a new creature, guiding us towards the future.
