FOCUS
The Focus project studies from a scientific and artistic point of view human auditory filtering related to emotional reactions.
It thus contributes to the development of hearing aids that use brain activity to better enable the individual to concentrate.
The project looks at the stratification of music, which is in the foreground and what is in the background.
And what emotions does music really evoke? The research of Professor Elia Formisano of the Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of Maastricht,
joins the works for bassoon and cello specially created for this project by the composer Jesse Passenier. Want to know more ? So, immerse yourself in this interactive show,
which blurs the line between research and concert, where electroencephalograms (EEG) share the stage with live music!
MOLECULAR TRAVEL
How can molecular imaging change the world? Molecular Voyages is a short science fiction film where artistic imagination and medical research meet.
In their previous short film Rose (2017), director Joris Hoefakkers (Submedia) and scientist Ron M.A. Heeren (director of M4I Maastricht University)
focus on the perspective and emotional life of the patient. In this new film Molecular Voyages, the world is viewed from a scientific point of view through the
eyes of a child with unlimited possibilities. What does the future hold? Discover in preview a vision of our future that could become reality sooner than expected.
