Thomas Hauert returns with a bold offering. Aficionados will doubtlessly be disorientated by this brand-new creation. This study aims to explore other forms of presence and materials, which are stripped and deprived of the attractive potential that we may expect from dance today. With staging designed by Chevalier-Masson, a new scale of attention draws our glance to the painstaking narrative power of movement and the fragility of solitary bodies. Revealed by the transparency of John Cage’s music, each gesture and jump becomes a mini event, punctuated by random embraces that appear like possible promises of hope.
