The American director Robert Wilson staged Eugène Ionesco’s Rhinoceros in Craiova at the invitation of the Marin Sorescu National Theatre. The enigmatic drama of the French author of Romanian author fluctuates between surrealism, magical and absurd realism, and constitutes an ideal breeding ground for Robert Wilson’s creativity. The characters slowly transform into rhinoceroses, reality gives way to fantasy, the magic of the theatre dispels all the dark visions of the world.
