The prestigious Companhia Nacional de Bailado de Lisbonne – newly directed by Sofia Campos –, the technical excellence of which is recognised internationally, will open the Festival. We will discover the talent of the dancers from this great Portuguese reference Institution in three pieces by a tenor of choreography, Hans van Manen. A great Dutch master of neoclassicism, his style is characterised by a formal austerity, an unbound elegance, a fascination for the duo and an erotic appeal.
