In this youthful play, we find all the talent of Georges Feydeau on display, illustrated by his virtuosity with language, his sequences of misunderstandings and his implacable comic dynamics. Infected by delusions of grandeur, the bourgeois Pacarel wants to impose a musical composition by his daughter on the Paris Opera. His plan? To engage the services of the most renowned tenor of the time. The arrival of a young man — the star, no doubt — will cause a tsunami of quid pro quos, served up by the energetic theatrics of eight complicit actors. The director, Cécile Van Snick, delights us with this charming vaudeville play, which provokes laughter of all kinds.
