As part of their annual meeting, a group of English noir novel enthusiasts decide to perform a police play by Conan Doyle. For the first time on the stage, all the members start well. The plot is about a box of matches: an old English mansion, a crime, an inspector, a handful of suspects and objects from Clue. Everything quickly derails cheerfully at a rattling pace. To embody these poor amateurs, our Belgian actors show solid know-how at the service of the absurd. It is sportingly that they carry the deluge of catastrophes and raise hilarity continuously. Gwen Aduh is responsible for the staging and gives us an honest comedy that gives us all a boost.
