Throughout history, people have crossed borders, whether natural or man-made, shaped by wars and treaties.
From its very beginnings, Belgium has been a welcoming land, seeing Italian, Spanish, Greek, Turkish and Moroccan communities settle there.
Photography has borne witness to this, initially in a documentary style, before going on to explore the human and social issues at stake.
This exhibition presents a selection of works by photographers from the collections of the Museum of Photography on the theme of immigration.
Works by Mathieu Pernot, Christian Carez, Michel Vanden Eeckhoudt, Erika Vancouver, Michel Papeliers, Bernard Bay, Yves Auquier, Véronique Vercheval…
In partnership with the Museum of Photography. This production was developed with the support of the PROSPERO NEW platform and co-funded by the European Union’s Creative Europe programme.
