Mylittleemi is part of a study into contemporary loneliness and its commodification in the age of technology and conversational artificial intelligence. Inspired by apps that allow users to form relationships with virtual companions, the show explores these new forms of intimacy, navigating the space between real desire, illusion and the consumption of connection.
In the form of a one-woman show, the audience is invited to meet EMI, a humanoid robot programmed to become the ideal companion. Portrayed by Sasha Martelli, this entity moves through a minimalist world where the language of the virtual and the sensory intertwine. Between fascination and unease, the show questions our relationship with others and highlights the excesses of a phenomenon that is indicative of our times.
